Bonnie and Clyde: The Story of Love & Death -- Man, Moment, Machine: Hunting Bonnie and Clyde.
Emile Hirsch, Holliday Grainger.
BONNIE AND CLYDE: THE REAL STORY from HISTORY looks at two of America's most legendary gangsters: Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. A love match made in hell, Bonnie and Clyde met during the Great Depression, when Bonnie was a poor waitress looking for excitement and just before 20-year-old Clyde was locked up for burglary. Bonnie arranges Clyde's first escape, but he is captured and then sexually abused in prison. He kills the convict who attacked him - his first murder - and his prison experience sets in motion a bloody and vindictive crime spree covering five states. Clyde's weapon of choice was the lethal Browning Automatic Rifle. He became infamous not only for his uncanny ability to escape but also for his ruthless use of this extreme firepower. After hundreds of law enforcement officers hotly pursue the pair and fail to keep Clyde in jail, a highly publicized jailbreak catches the attention of one of the country's top man hunters, Texas Ranger Frank Hamer. On a lonely country road one day in 1934, Hamer and his team set a trap for the gangsters, armed - ironically - with Browning Automatic Rifles. And although the public would continue to romanticize them for decades, on that day, Bonnie and Clyde didn't have a chance.
